    Strive’s Holistic Approach

    At Strive we believe that the holistic approach is one that empowers the client to learn how to self heal, by approaching the body as a tightly interconnected set of systems each affecting the other. Our focus is in treating you as the whole person. This is achieved by applying the six foundation principals listed below. If you are out of balance in just one of these areas in your life, achieving your goals can be more of a challenge.

    • Thoughts: Shape who you are emotionally and physically. Each thought you have produces a hormonal response which then affects the body. When you exercise you start to feel better on the inside – this can affect your thoughts in a positive way.
    • Breath: Is the life force in our body, without it you would only survive a few minutes. Oxygen is also required to help metabolise your food, regenerate and repair our systems. At Strive we help our clients learn how to relax and strengthen their connection with their breath by becoming more aware.
    • Hydration: Our bodies are made of 60-70% water and we are designed to drink a pure source. Low levels of hydration in your body can affect you mentally and physically. At Strive you will learn how much water to drink for your body weight, what is pure water, and how vital it is to your health.
    • Diet: Directly impacts weight and health and accounts for 80% of your total efforts. There is also a connection with the food you put into your body and how you feel physically and emotionally. We are all unique and learning how to eat right for your type is an essential part of achieving your goals. At Strive we help you discover what foods harm and what foods heal you and to eat for your type.
    • Exercise: Requires the key ingredients of fun and functionality to you and your lifestyle. It directly affects your mood by releasing endorphins and can change your body shape. Because you are individual your exercise program needs to be tailored specifically to you. Here at Strive we identify which type of exercise is appropriate, and give you an understanding of why you are doing these particular movements and how that helps you in life and your goals.
    • Sleep: Refers to your body’s circadian rhythm which naturally harmonises with sunrise and sunset. This is when our body repairs physically and mentally. Stress, artificial lighting, food, alcohol and some forms of activity can all place a strain on your sleep cycle. Strive can identify if one or more of these areas is affecting sleep then help educate you on how to bring balance back to your natural rhythm.
